Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula. With an estimated 94.6 million inhabitants in 2016, it is the 15th most populous country in the world. Vietnam is bordered by China to the North, Laos and Cambodia to the West, part of Thailand to the southwest, and the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia across the South China Sea to the East and Southeast.
Ha Long Bay is an iconic Vietnamese landscape. Embarking on an overnight cruise though the azure waters is an experience like no other. Sunsets over the bay are magnificent and the mist rising off the waters adds an eerie, mysterious element to this geological wonder. It’s the number one tourist destination in Vietnam so it can be crammed during high season, but gazing at the limestone formations in the water is worth it.
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, pick up at the airport & transfer to the downtown.
After lunch at local restaurant, visit Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart and soul of Hanoi. Continue to the Museum of Ethnology. This superb museum showcases the depth of Vietnamese cultural diversity with an astounding collection of 15,000 artifacts gathered from throughout Vietnam. Then take a cyclo ride/electric car drive through the bustling Old Quarter.

Leave Hanoi for Halong Bay, one of the most magnificent scenic environments in the world, Halong Bay. Covering 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast onboard, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay.
After breakfast, explore Sung Sot cave, swim and relax. Cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served while you are cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. Cruise check-out. Drive back to Hanoi for overnight. Arrive in Hanoi at 3:00pm. Free for shopping.
Have dinner at local restaurant before transferring to the railway station for the night train to Lao Cai.

You arrive at Lao Cai Railway Station at about 6:00am. Pick up & transfer to Sapa. After breakfast and shower, we will start walking to Cat Cat & Sin Chai villages in the bottom of Muong Hoa valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of the beautiful valley towards Fansipan – the highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina. Go through the village of Black H’mong ethnic minority; see people weaving and embroidering their clothes, keep going down enjoy colourful rice terraces and the interesting waterfall. Come back to Sapa.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Then free at leisure.
Overnight in Sapa.
From Sapa, we trek through beautiful scenery to Lao Chai village to visit H’Mong people. Have picnic lunch on the way, then trek 3km more to Ta Van village. Enjoy beautiful landscape of step – rice paddy fields on the bank of lovely stream, visit school and see the daily life of minority people.
After dinner at local restaurant, transfer to the railway station for the night train to Hanoi.

Arrive at Hanoi Railway Station at about 5:30am. Pick up & transfer to a small hotel nearby for a short rest & shower. After that, go to a local restaurant to taste PHO, a famous dish of Vietnam. There are beef Pho & chicken Pho for your choice. Enjoy a cup of Hanoi coffee. Then depart for Ninh Binh Province. On arrival, visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam 10 metre in height, 100 tons in weight.
After lunch at local restaurant, drive to Trang An tourist attraction. Take a boat cruise to visit cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, see scenery of mountain and rivers – a Halong on land of Ninh Binh.
Then return to Hanoi.

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
